Membership Categories
The preferred form of membership is Full Membership, bearing in mind the size and accommodation facilities of yachts and their cruising potential, combined with the sailing and social activities of the club.
Full membership can include two adults and their children, if any, under 18 years of age and still living at home. Any children between 18 and 21 and still in full time education should be added as student members. Single membership covers one person only, and is for members without partners or family, who essentially visit the club, and sail, alone. Student membership covers those between 18 and 21 years of age, whose parents or guardians are members the club, and who can satisfy the General Committee that they are in full time education.

Additional Information
Moorings
Boats are moored on deep water swinging moorings. There are no permanent marina berths.
The club moorings are let on a yearly basis from April 1st to the following March 31st and club members may use their craft on the water all year round if they wish.
Moorings are allocated during march to fully paid up members.
Those members who held moorings during the previous season will generally be allocated the same moorings unless specific requests to the contrary are received. Such requests should be noted in the appropriate place on the subscription renewal form.
New members taking up moorings late in the season, may well be allocated a different mooring for the following season.
Winter
Boats may be left on the moorings over winter or stored in the boat-park.
Launch and Haul Out
As a service to members there is one free launch and haul-out each season. Launching usually takes place over two weekend in April, and haul-out over two weekends in October. Launch / haul-out dates are notified to members well in advance and members then book their dates.
A launch or haul-out requested at any other time will incur a fee.
Rescue services
No rescue services operate on the lake, and members must make their own decisions, as to the suitability of weather conditions, bearing in mind their own competence and that of their crew.
Registration
All yachts and tenders must be registered with Northumbrian water and show a registration number. Tenders may be towed behind yachts to facilitate landing around the lake.
Overnight on the lake
Free swinging moorings have been laid in sheltered spots round the lake for picnic stops and temporary over-night use by members.
Sailing is not allowed during the hours of darkness.
This is a Northumbrian Water regulation.
Skippers
The person in charge of a yacht must be a paid up member of the Club. Visitors and guests are welcome to accompany members up to six times a season, after that we request they become members.
